The islands of Puget Sound have many things in common, not the least of which is their thriving artist communities. Bainbridge Island is no exception. From abstract canvases to porcelain pottery, you’ll find the fine arts to be well-represented in the art galleries and studios that line the streets of this charming island. Visit in August for the Summer Studio Tour and view the works of more than 50 regional artists. This self-guided art tour takes place over three days and is accessible by car or bicycle.

Bloedel Reserve is an award-winning public garden on Bainbridge Island that features 150 acres of natural woodlands and beautifully landscaped gardens, including a Japanese Garden, a Moss Garden, and Reflection Pool, and the Bloedels’ former estate home. You’ll definitely want to include a visit to this Northwest treasure in your visit to the island.
